Clan MacInnis of Five Tumbleweeds Farm live in the beautiful Annapolis Valley. We are working toward producing the majority of the food we consume. Along with raising our own meat we endeavour to grow many of our own fruits and vegetables to eat and to preserve canning or fermenting. Other aspects of our farm include raising sheep for fiber and goats for milking. As a family we are committed to reducing our environmental footprint and so make our own soaps, lotions, shampoo and cleaning products to use, as well as, to sell. We love all things local and are planning to continue to expand our homestead in the future. Check us out on facebook @fivetumbleweeds.
Life.School.House. has become an integral part of our family life because we are passionate about creating community. We love opening our home and sharing our lives and experiences with those that gather there. We have a passion to learn skills from the past as well as new skills, recognizing that each person has something to teach us that can enhance our lives. There is a wealth of local resources that we can learn from and at the same time develop that sense of community most people long for. We would love for you to join us!
